Welcome to Thrifty Cavern - a little family-run treasure hunt tucked away in the heart of our everyday lives.

What began as a weekend hobby quickly grew into something much bigger. We’ve always believed that every item has a story, and every story deserves a second chapter. So we started searching - digging through shelves, boxes, barns, basements, and estate sales - chasing that unforgettable moment when you hold something in your hands and think, someone is going to love this.

Over time, the stacks of “rescued treasures” grew taller than we expected, and our excitement to share them grew right along with it. That’s when Thrifty Cavern was born: a warm, honest little corner of the internet where secondhand finds get a chance at new adventures.

Today, our Cavern is filled with all sorts of treasures - from vintage movies and retro music to clothing, décor, collectibles, and those quirky one-of-a-kind items you never expect but always smile at. Every piece is hand-selected, inspected, cleaned, photographed, and listed with care. Some items are nostalgic. Some are practical. Some are simply fun. But all of them were chosen because we saw something in them worth saving.

We aren’t just sellers - we’re storytellers, curators, and matchmakers of memories.

Thrifty Cavern is still family-run, still fueled by curiosity and caffeine, still filled with late-night cleaning sessions and early-morning listing marathons. We celebrate every sale, every follower, every returning customer. And we don’t take a single bit of it for granted.

You’ll see our fictional “Cavern Helpers” pop up across our brand - a playful extension of the real work happening behind the scenes. They represent the heart of our family: the quirks, the dedication, the humor, and the chaos of running a small business we love.

The Cavern Keeper is the visionary behind Thrifty Cavern, guiding every detail with care, intention, and heart. As CEO and founder, she protects the spirit of the Cavern while ensuring every process, product, and customer experience meets the highest standard. Calm, steady, and deeply thoughtful, she leads with the belief that if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.

She can tell you where nearly any item in the Cavern came from - and will still check the shelf alignment one more time, just to be sure.

Gracie

Co-CEO

Leading with love, tail wags, and just the right amount of mischief.

Gracie has been part of Thrifty Cavern since day one - pawing through builds, boosting morale, and reminding everyone why the journey matters. As Co-CEO, she leads with joy, resilience, and an unshakable belief that teamwork (and a little fun) can get you through anything. Small in size but mighty in spirit, Gracie is the heart that keeps the Cavern going on even the toughest days.

Gracie cannot pass a squeaky toy without testing it - every single one must be personally approved.

Willa

Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Calm in the chaos, magic in the details.

Willa is the steady magic behind Thrifty Cavern’s daily flow. As Chief Operations Officer, she keeps schedules aligned, chaos softened, and the Keeper’s vision moving forward with calm precision. Gentle yet powerful, Willa ensures every part of the Cavern runs smoothly - often before anyone realizes there was ever a problem.

Willa hums softly when she’s thinking - staff say it’s like a “fairy version of buffering” that signals she’s about to work her magic.

Bill

Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Master of wires, WiFi, and quiet heroics.

Bill is the mastermind keeping Thrifty Cavern’s technology running smoothly - servers, networks, WiFi, and every backup imaginable all fall under his watchful eye. Calm on the outside and secretly panicking on the inside, he ensures the Cavern stays connected while supporting the Keeper in every way possible. Small crises don’t stand a chance when Bill is on the case.

Bill talks to the WiFi like it’s a living creature - and swears it listens… sometimes.

Director of Inventory Control

Quietly watching. Constantly counting.

Trixie is the quiet guardian of order at Thrifty Cavern. As Director of Inventory Control, she oversees every item from arrival to storage, ensuring nothing is misplaced and every system runs with precision. Shy and soft-spoken, Trixie works best behind the scenes - watching, counting, and protecting the foundation that keeps the Cavern running smoothly.

When no one is looking, Trixie dips her favorite pom-pom toys in the grotto to make them fly farther - purely for research purposes, of course.

Pixie

Director of Logistics

Energetic, commanding, caring.

Pixie is the driving force behind every order that leaves Thrifty Cavern. As Director of Logistics, she oversees the entire workflow from checkout to shipment, making sure everything moves efficiently and on time. Mornings bring her bold, no-nonsense leadership style, while afternoons reveal her warm, encouraging side. With Pixie in charge, things don’t just get done - they get done right.

The grey patches on Pixie’s back form tiny heart shapes - a hidden reminder that beneath the boss energy, she’s all heart.

Miles

Staff Manager

The High-Energy Organizer

Miles is Thrifty Cavern’s diligent Staff Manager, keeping schedules tight and operations running smoothly. This young moose balances big responsibility with nervous energy, always double-checking that everyone is on track. Fast-talking under stress, he’s the organized heartbeat that keeps the Cavern on course.

Miles has a clipboard for every occasion—and secretly loves Broadway musicals, though he tries to act “too professional” to admit it.

River

Customer Service Manager

No wave too rough when we’re swimming together.

River is the sparkling force behind every customer interaction at Thrifty Cavern. As Customer Service Manager, she handles questions, feedback, and returns with unstoppable optimism and heartfelt care. Fast-talking, fast-moving, and fiercely kind, River believes every ripple can become a wave of positivity - and she makes sure every customer leaves feeling valued.

River keeps a binder titled “Customer Happiness Protocols - Version 17.3 (Holiday Edition)” and updates it regularly - complete with color tabs and celebratory stickers.

Softlines / Clothing Care

Buckley oversees Thrifty Cavern’s garments with the reverence of a museum curator. From steaming and storage to presentation and preservation, he ensures every piece of clothing is treated with dignity and refinement. Dramatic yet devoted, Buckley believes fashion is more than fabric - it’s culture, identity, and art hanging on a rack.

Buckley keeps a lint roller on him at all times - and has been known to pause mid-conversation to rescue a stranger from “textile embarrassment.”

Penny

Inventory Coordinator

Fair prices, full shelves, and a whole lot of heart.

Penny keeps Thrifty Cavern’s inventory sparkling and perfectly priced. As Director of Inventory, she logs every item, sets fair deals, and makes sure the shelves always shine. Warm, welcoming, and wonderfully chatty, Penny makes customers feel right at home - even if she occasionally gets a little flustered when certain treasure hunters walk through the door.

Penny talks to the inventory while she works - and somehow, the shelves really do seem to behave better for her.

Nutmeg

Holiday Inventory Manager

Holiday spirit is a year-round responsibility!

Nutmeg is Thrifty Cavern’s bubbly and endlessly enthusiastic Holiday Grotto assistant. She tackles every task with unmatched energy and a touch of whimsy, often seeing magical possibilities where others see just tinsel.

Nutmeg once reorganized the entire Holiday Grotto overnight because “the tinsel told her it wanted better lighting.”

Stash

Warehouse Lead

If it’s solid, it’s mine.

Stash runs Thrifty Cavern’s hardlines department with sharp wit and sharper skill. From tools and collectibles to media and home goods, if it’s solid, it’s hers. Confident, clever, and never without a comeback, she keeps everything catalogued, secured, and exactly where it should be - usually before anyone realizes it needed fixing.

Stash keeps a secret snack drawer hidden in nearly every storage room - and so far, no one has successfully found them all.

Dasher

Director of Shipping

Fastest in the skies. Fastest in shipping.

Dasher brings legendary speed and showmanship to Thrifty Cavern’s shipping department. A proud veteran of Santa’s sleigh team, he treats every outgoing package like a Christmas Eve delivery run. Loud, confident, and always ready for applause, Dasher ensures orders leave the Cavern with flair, precision, and just a touch of heroic narration.

Dasher keeps a scrapbook of every song lyric, article, or mention of his name - and he’s more than happy to show it to you.

Greyson

Head of Security

The Watchful Mentor

Greyson is Thrifty Cavern’s calm and clever Head of Security. With a sharp eye and a love for unexpected trivia, he ensures the Cavern stays safe while letting the team learn and grow on their own.

Greyson loves dropping random facts at the perfect moment — often leaving the crew both wiser and slightly amused.

Eugene

Web Developer

Brilliantly awkward, inventive, and unexpectedly charming.

Eugene is the Cavern’s Director of Web Design. Brilliant but socially awkward, he constantly tweaks the website - often by accident - improving speed, features, and user experience in unexpected ways. From retro coding quirks to digital pranks, Eugene blends chaotic creativity with confidence, keeping the Cavern’s tech running smoothly while charming (and confusing) the team.

Eugene accidentally adds quacks and sparkling cursors to the website while “just tweaking one thing.”

Circuit

IT Technician

Witty, clever, and perpetually “wired in.”

Circuit, a clever and slightly sarcastic sea lion, is Thrifty Cavern’s IT Manager. Always “wired in,” he fixes tech problems no one else can and mutters about “user error” while saving the day. Found the Cavern with a busted laptop in a storm and never left, adopting the nickname Circuit after a coworker’s mispronunciation. Between juggling gadgets and coffee, he’s the behind-the-scenes genius everyone depends on - though he’ll never admit it’s magic, just skill… and maybe a little chaos.

Circuit gives all his machines nicknames - from “Bertha” the server to “The Duke” the laptop - and talks to them like they’re coworkers.

Quality Control Officer

Koda is Thrifty Cavern’s discerning Quality Control Officer, making sure nothing leaves the Cavern without meeting his exacting standards. A bald eagle of aristocratic bearing, he inspects every item with meticulous precision and lectures generously on the virtues of excellence. Calm and deliberate - until confronted with mediocrity - Koda guarantees that every treasure is truly top-notch

Koda owns a collection of antique magnifying glasses and insists each one provides a “distinct interpretive experience” when inspecting inventory - though no one else can tell the difference.

Luna

Marketing & Social Media

Dramatic Optimist

Luna is a Great Horned Owl and the Cavern’s Head of Marketing & Social Media. Dramatic, warm, and endlessly creative, she turns every post into a story. She loves late-night brainstorming, vintage camera lenses, and color-coded notes everywhere. Luna makes the Cavern’s voice unforgettable, inspires the team, and approaches every campaign with heart, humor, and the certainty that every moment can sparkle.

Luna keeps handwritten notes scattered everywhere but always knows exactly where each one is.

Berry

Cavern Chef

Dramatic, inventive, endlessly charming.

Berry is an Olympic Marmot and the Cavern’s Head Chef & Culinary Director. Quick-witted, theatrical, and explosively creative, he turns every meal into a performance. From dramatic cooking tutorials to experimental flavors, Berry keeps the Cavern fed and entertained, always chasing “the perfect dish” while delighting the team with laughter, flair, and unforgettable flavors.

Berry arranges his spices by both alphabet and emotional impact.

Scout

Treasure Hunter

Stay sharp. Earn the Treasure.

Scout is the rugged force behind Thrifty Cavern’s rare and remarkable finds. As Treasure Hunter, he ventures into mountains, forests, and forgotten places to uncover the hidden gems that make the Cavern special. Quiet, steady, and fiercely reliable, Scout doesn’t say much - but when he does, it matters. His strength isn’t loud. It’s dependable.
