Artemis is a talking, white feline from the Moon Kingdom who serves as the loyal advisor, guardian, and tactical mentor to Minako Aino (Sailor Venus). As the counterpart to Luna, he is responsible for awakening the Sailor Senshi and guiding them in their mission to protect Earth and the Moon Princess.
Origin & Role
Originating from the ancient Silver Millennium, Artemis was an advisor to Queen Serenity. When the kingdom fell, he and Luna were sent to Earth's future to awaken the Sailor Senshi and prevent the world from being destroyed. In the overarching timeline, Artemis actually appeared on Earth before Luna. He first served as the primary mentor to Minako Aino, helping her awaken as "Sailor V" in the prequel manga series Codename: Sailor V. Once Minako joins the rest of the Inner Guardians, Artemis acts as a tactical advisor and older brother figure to the team.
