Located in Historic Gruene, Texas, it operated as a bustling center of a "company town" before the cotton industry collapsed, and now acts as a vintage-themed shopping attraction featuring a soda fountain and Texas-made products.
After the boll weevil crisis and Great Depression, the store, along with the town, went into decline, but was later restored and is now a central feature in the popular tourist district.
